An understanding of life safety includes the following:
- Quickly communicating a staff or resident need for medical assistance
- Alerting responders to calls for emergency assistance
- Notifying staff to the movements of residents known to be wander risks
- Alerting staff when a resident with impaired mobility is in a vulnerable situation
